Behind every good business is a great office manager. Misty has that covered. With over 16 years of experience with the company, she has the “business” end of things covered.Misty is not only the voice of the company (answering the phones most of the time), but she is also the face for customer service. She will greet you with a smile every time you come in the front door. Misty’s primary responsibilities are to oversee the office and the bookkeeping, but she is also knowledgeable in ordering parts and compiling an estimate. Born and raised in Wayne County, her roots run deep. Her father was the previous owner of the facility, so she brings an array of experience to the table. She is happily married with two children and a couple of four-legged babies she spoils, too.
Meet Chris, our parts manager and estimator. He brings 13 years of experience in the automotive part's industry and has served Morton Collision for 5 years. He’s the guy who will walk you through the overall process. He starts with compiling an estimate when a customer arrives and then oversees the entire repair process from start to finish. He handles all of the insurance negotiations and claims and takes the pressure off of the customer by ensuring the repair is smooth. He also manages the parts and service departments in addition to assisting in customer service. He’s the guy in the front office you will get to know well. Chris is a current resident of Wayne County and spends his free time with his wife and children.
With an I-CAR Professional Development Program as well as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications blended with 34 years of experience, Donald is an asset to say the least. Not many technicians or body repair men come with any certification, much less possess two. The I-CAR certification sets a higher bar for those who complete it; as it known for higher safety standards in addition to higher customer satisfaction, higher performance, and role-relevant training providing the knowledge and skills needed to perform complete, safe, and quality repairs. In addition, the ASE certification is short for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence which developed a program to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service by testing and certifying automotive professionals. Donald, aka “Bud”, has completed both of these programs and earned his certification on each. Coupled with his century plus of hands-on experience and working knowledge, Donald is a core part of the company and repair process. He is responsible for repairing and replacing parts as well as pulling and repairing frames to include unibody frames and full ladder frames. He turns out top quality work and he is a professional to say the least. Donald lives in Jesup and enjoys his spending time with his family when he is not working.
A jack-of-all-trades: Charles, aka “Chuck”, is our multitasker. From after-hours towing to daytime autobody repair, he takes care of it all. Charles brings with him 35 years of experience and has been a strength to the company for 13 years. He is knowledgeable in complete auto body collision and is proficient in framework, parts repair and replacement, as well as window or glass repair. He is a precision specialist and is an integral part of the repair process. Charles is dedicated and sometimes maybe a workaholic. When he isn’t pulling a frame or replacing a part, he’s the little guy behind the wheel of the big truck. He takes care of all the after-hours wrecker driving or towing and is always “Johnny on the spot”. His quiet humble spirit is soothing in emergency situations and he is certainly a benefit to the team. Charles is a Jesup resident and he too enjoys his family outside of work.
The newest member of the team is Tom. He’s young in age but wise in spirit. He comes from a family of collision experts and he joined Morton Collision Center 4 years ago. He has assisted in most aspects of the facility, working his way up from grounds maintenance to paint prepper. Tom is a hard worker and is eager to learn more. He works diligently preparing the vehicles for the coating process as well as repairing or replacing small interior parts such as window regulators, etc. Tom is already taking part in light bodywork and his help and wide variety of ability is
valued. Outside of work, Tom enjoys tinkering with motors as well as hanging out with his
friends and family.
